It has been a wonderful Wimbledon for two Indians. Sania Mirza and Leander Paes but in their victories they had someone in common Martina Hingis . So this year till now Martina has won three grandslam titles with an Indian partner. On two occasions it was Leander Paes in mixed doubles of Australian Open and Wimbledon. While yesterday it was Sania Mirza in Wimbledon doubles .
One thing common among all three of them was that they were all teenage prodigies . Hingis a greater champion than the other two in fact Martina Hingis is one of the greatest player to have ever played tennis. Its great to see at the age of 35 she is still winning grand slams and surely many more doubles titles will be won by Martina Hingis.
Leander Paes at an age of 42 is still winning grand slams. He is the oldest male player ever to have won a Grand Slam.
