As expected the rain has played spoilsport in the Test Match between Bangladesh and India. Out of the scheduled 270 overs , only 103 overs and 3 balls have been bowled. Indians did bat briskly to score 462 runs which is very fast by test match standards.
Today's Team India's focus was on scoring fast runs so batsmen took chances and in that process did end up giving their wickets. The Bangladesh bowling was also better than the first day and the pitch was also offering a bit of assistance.
Now two more days remain in this test match if the rain gods are kind enough we can have another 180 overs or 196 over at the most of cricket possible. Now if India declare tomorrow morning and if the Indian bowlers are penetrative enough to get Bangladesh out twice and the first time they have got to get them out below 262 so that they are in a position to enforce follow on, then we can expect a result in this test match.
At the moment it looks like only two results are possible if the weather holds and Indians bowl well we may have an Indian victory or we may have some rains and there is very little chance of getting a result.
Lets hope that Bhajji uses this opportunity well to make his way back into the team. It is observed that spinners improve with time. All of us would love to see Bhajji bowl well and play for India for a few more years.
